Red Hot Applesauce

Equipment

  • 1 Apple Corer
  • 1 Crock pot

Ingredients
  

  • 10 Apples
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Red Hots more or less depending on how spicy you want it.

Instructions
 

  • Wash and rinse the apples.
  • Peel and core the apples.
  • Remove the skin of the apple.
  • Place the slices in the crockpot first.
  • Next add a 1/2 cup of water, followed by a 1/2 cup of brown sugar.
  • Place slow cooker on high heat for about 3 to 4 hours.
  • After about 3 to 4 hours it will start to look like a very chunky applesauce.
  • Stir in the red hots and turn to low heat. Allow to sit for about 15 minutes.
  • You can either leave your applesauce really chunky or use a food processor to get it to the desired consistency.
