I love having breakfast for dinner. It's such a simple meal to cook and it is perfect for cold winter nights. Plus, it really is a very frugal meal. I used to pick up a loaf of Pepperidge Farm cinnamon bread to have with our breakfast but a couple of years ago I came across a recipe that is amazing! I love the taste of bread straight from the oven. This bread is sweet and cinnamony all in one. It is fantastic with a little bit of butter on top. In fact, my family likes it better than the pepperidge farm cinnamon bread.
This pepperidge farm cinnamon bread is easy enough to make and your whole family will love it. It is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or even breakfast for dinner. Plus, it is quick to make up a loaf.
You will need to start by mixing one egg, 1/4 cup milk and 3/4 warm water in a large bowl. I like to use my stand mixer to mix everything up.
Once the egg is well mixed add 1/4 cup margarine, 1 packet yeast, 1 tsp. salt and 1/3 cup sugar. Then add about 3 1/2 cups flour a little at a time. Add the flour a little at a time until the dough doesn't stick to the side of the bowl.
Mix well, cover and let the dough sit for about 20 minutes in a warm place. After 20 minutes place dough on a lightly floured surface and roll out to 10 x 12 rectangle. Brush with melted margarine and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
Roll dough up and place it seam side down in a 9 x 5 loaf pan. I love my pan it’s non-stick and the bread just falls right out of the pan. It helps with more even heat distribution and keeps bread moister as it cooks.

Thank you for this post, Julie - you all have to try this wonderful recipe! I've tried similar dough recipes but they have been too sticky and I ended up with a mess. This dough was so soft and smooth - exactly the right texture to shape and I had no problems at all.
Hint - try making monkey bred with these ingredients - it was fabulous! Pinch off small balls of dough, roll in the butter, sugar and cinnamon and arrange in a baking tin, baking for the same time. I couldn't believe it worked so well.
