Don't spend all day scrubbing away in the bathroom. Check out these simple tips on how to deep clean a bathroom. You can deep clean a bathroom quickly!
I have to say cleaning the bathroom is one of my least favorite chores. I think it would be a toss-up between cleaning the bathroom and laundry.
However, since our bathroom can't clean itself I am in charge of cleaning it.
I try to clean the mirrors and wipe down the countertops every day. Then, on Monday I give my bathroom a deep cleaning.
Deep cleaning your bathroom doesn't have to take a lot of time. You can get in and get it clean quickly. Check out my favorite tips below on how to deep clean a bathroom like a pro.
How To Deep Clean A Bathroom
To start, I recommend gathering everything you will need to clean your bathroom before you get started.
You don't want to waste a bunch of time running back and forth for cleaners and paper towels.
I created a little cleaning caddy (you can see it here) that I can just take with me to the bathroom.
You can keep all the things you need to clean the bathroom quickly and easily.
Getting Started
Whenever I am cleaning a room I like to work from the ceiling down. That way all the dust or dirt that I clean off doesn't fall to a clean area in the room.
Also, you don't have to clean all of the areas every week. You can pick a major task like cleaning the jets in your tub every month or so.
So grab your cleaning bucket and get started!
Cleaning A Bathroom Fan and/or Light Fixtures
The bathroom can get surprisingly dusty so it's always a good idea to dust your light fixtures.
Not only will it get rid of dust, but it will help make the bathroom seem lighter and brighter.
Every few months don't forget to clean your bathroom fan if you have one. It can get really dusty and if you have a light attached to it they tend to attract bugs. 🙁
You can see here an easy and quick way to clean your bathroom fans.
Clean Windows And Blinds
If you have any windows or blinds in your bathroom you will want to spend a few minutes cleaning those.

If you have blinds on your window you can use this easy tip to clean the blinds.
Finally, take a damp microfiber cloth or a vacuum and dust the trim around the window.
Clean The Shower and/or Tub
Cleaning the tub and shower is usually pretty quick and easy. I recommend using an all-purpose cleaner to spray down the tub and shower.
Then, after letting it sit for a few minutes use a microfiber cloth to wipe it down.
Most of the time if you regularly clean your tub and shower with an all-purpose cleaner it will clean it well and get rid of any dirt and grime.
Since showers and tubs tend to have moisture issues they often have mold issues too. You can see my favorite tips on getting rid of mold on caulk & grout to clean any mold off in the bathroom.
If you have a whirlpool tub with jets you can see how to deep clean your jets here.
Finally, if your shower door has buildup on it that won't come off with the all-purpose spray you can use this easy tip to remove any hard water stains.
Wipe Down Sink and Countertops
Once you have the tub and shower cleaned you will want to spend a few minutes cleaning the sink and countertops.
I like to use an all-purpose spray to clean them. Just spray down the sink and countertop and then let it sit for about a minute. Then use a microfiber cloth to wipe them down.
Occasionally I will remove the handles from the bathroom faucet and give them a deep cleaning. You can see how to do that here.

Clean or Dust Cabinets
I am amazed at how dirty my bathroom cabinets get. They can gather dust, but more regularly I find either lotion or toothpaste spilled down the side of bathroom cabinets.
To keep your bathroom cabinets looking great just grab a microfiber cloth and get it damp.
Gently run the cloth over the cabinets to remove any dust or grime. Pay careful attention to the knobs on the cabinets. They can be dirty from everyday use.

Scrub Your Toilets
Scrubbing your toilets is a pretty quick and easy task, although not the most pleasant task.
Add some toilet cleaner to your bowl and let it soak. While the cleaner is doing it's thing wipe down the outside of the toilet.
You can use a simple all-purpose cleaner and a paper towel or you can use wipes. Personally, I just use some lysol wipes to quickly clean the toilet. Clean the lid, seat, and base. Don't forget to clean the handle too.
Once you are done wiping down the toilet you can then use a toilet brush to clean the bowl.
If you have hard water stains in your toilet you can use this simple trick to remove hard water stains without scrubbing.
Mop and Sweep Bathroom Floors
