Recently I created a cleaning caddy for at home and wow is it a time saver. It seemed like every time I went to clean the bathroom I would inevitably forget something. Although that's great exercise it does get frustrating.

I finally settled on this one from Amazon. It was large enough to hold everything that I needed plus it seemed very sturdy.

Start by thinking about the areas of the house you would use your cleaning caddy and then what you would need in it. I skipped putting anything in my cleaning caddy that I would use in the kitchen. I just keep my kitchen cleaning supplies in the kitchen. I included things for cleaning the bathrooms, bedrooms, living room, and dining room because I don't store cleaning supplies in those rooms.

Make sure your cleaning caddy has enough room for cleaning cloths or paper towels if you use them. You don't want to always forget them and have to go back for them. I love these microfiber cleaning cloths. I can tuck a few in the back of the cleaning caddy so I always have some on hand.

When creating a cleaning caddy I made sure I had room for my favorite homemade glass cleaner, an all-purpose cleaner, my DIY dusting spray, and vinegar cleaner. I also keep my vinegar gel in the cleaning caddy. It is great for those hard to clean areas in the bathroom.

Save room in your DIY cleaning caddy for your favorite cleaning tools. My two favorite cleaning tools for my caddy are a paintbrush and denture brushes. I know, that sounds really strange however a paint brush is great to dust small areas that are hard to reach like a lampshade. Denture brushes are fantastic at cleaning those hard to reach areas around your sink and shower. I love them!

You can also include any kind of room sprays or deodorizer that you like to spray around the house. I like to make my own lemon and lavender room sprays. If there is anything else you like to use while cleaning make sure you have enough room when creating a cleaning caddy to store it in there.
