I love freezer meals! I can spend a couple of hours making some meals that my family loves and then I have meals to make when I am busy and just don't have the time to cook.
It allows me to still feed my family homemade dinners on busy nights and I save money instead of going for carry-out.
I recently saw some ground beef on sale so I knew it was time to make a bunch of meals for my family.
If you are looking for a way to lower your grocery bill and save more time freezer cooking is for you!
You can spend under $40 and a few hours in the kitchen to have fantastic freezer meals your family will love.
Where To Buy
I buy most of my foods at Aldi, so your prices may vary if you don’t have an Aldi nearby.
Besides the ground beef, everything else was regular priced when I bought it. I paid $31 but, I had a few things like brown sugar, salt, and eggs at home already.
Total with buying the disposable containers it should run you around $40.
I buy my disposable containers at the dollar store, but you can get them on Amazon too. One way to save even more money would be stocking up when things are on sale.
You can see a list of what to buy when over here. Another way I save more money is by using different grocery apps.
I can often clip coupons or get rebates for buying the food we normally would.
Easy Prep
I have heard people talk about spending all day on the weekend in the kitchen making freezer meals. That is SO not me!
I don't want to spend my weekends in the kitchen and I am guessing you don't want to either!
These meals are all about some easy peasy prep. You can cook the ground beef in the crock pot (use a liner for mess-free clean up) and then assemble the meals in about 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

The Meals
I took some of my family's favorite freezer meals and doubled them. So you are making two of every meal.
The meals can be pulled out on busy nights and you have an easy fuss-free dinner.
You will make two taco meals, two beef & cheese enchiladas dish, two lasagnas, and two meatloaves.
Easy Clean-Up
I have found that these recipes don't take a lot of pots and pans to prepare the meal so the clean up from the prep is very easy.
I fit everything in one load of the dishwasher. I also buy disposable pans from the dollar store so I can just throw them out when we are finished with dinner.
I always figure if it is a busy night you don't want a bunch of dishes to clean up too.
If you have a really small family like me you will have even more meals than just 8.
I made 4 baby meatloaves, 4 small lasagnas to make it more manageable for our family.
