Homemade Cleaning Supplies To Get Started
Almost everything you can get at the grocery store when doing your regular shopping.
A few things I do like to buy on Amazon.
Also, I started out with cheaper supplies (like plastic bottles) but as I started using them more and more I switched to glass.
Do what works for you and your family!
DIY Cleaning Supplies To Get At The Store
- Hydrogen Peroxide
- Vinegar
- Baking Soda
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Dish Soap
When it comes to cleaning products I mostly use store-brand products.
I have found that the store brands work just as well as the name brands. I do prefer Dawn Dish Soap. Just the plain blue kind works so well.
I would highly recommend buying these in the store instead of online. I have found these things tend to be way overpriced on Amazon.
Cleaning Supplies To Buy Online
There are a few cleaning supplies I choose to buy online. I have found better deals or brands that I like better.
- Essential Oils (I like Fabulous Frannie or Plant Therapy)
- Glass Spray Bottles (I have this 6-pack from Amazon)
I have found that essential oils not only make the cleaners smell fantastic, but some help disinfect and degrease too! If you want to start small with essential oils go with a lemon essential oil.
Free Weekly Cleaning Printable
Clean your home in under 30 minutes a day with this free Weekly Cleaning printable!
It not only degreases but can eliminate some bacteria and viruses.
My favorite scents for the cleaning recipes are Orange, Lemon, Rosemary, and Peppermint. I do use doTerra Serenity occasionally for the carpet deodorizer.
I love my clear spray bottles so I can see when they are starting to run out.
Also, I always use microfiber cloths when cleaning. Amazon sells my favorite brand of microfiber cloths.
Labels For Cleaning Supplies
The last thing you need for making cleaning supplies is labels. You don't want to mix up what you are using and use it on the wrong thing.
I often make my own cleaning labels with my Silhouette Cameo. I bought it on a Black Friday deal years ago and love it.
You can also buy labels online. I love these cute labels and these from Amazon.
Making your own cleaners doesn't have to be overwhelming or take a lot of money.
You can start slow with one or two cleaners and see what works best for your family.

I love your cute labels! Thanks for sharing about the cheaper essential oils. I'd like to buy some to make my cleaners, but can't spend much so I'll have to check them out!
